Contessa

Hello, I adopted Contessa in May 1994 from the HSMC.  I had asked the HSMC to contact me when a German Shepherd puppy arrived.  A few weeks later the HSMC called to tell me that a litter of puppies had been brought in and while they were not German Shepherds they were the cutest puppies they had ever seen.  They were right.  Contessa and her litter were the most adorable puppies I had ever seen.  I adopted her immediately.  Contessa moved around happily with me for several years.  When she was 7 we decided to move aboard our boat.  This was the best time of her life.  She loved living on a boat.  She made friends with anyone that would give her treats.  She barked at ducks and took dinghy rides.   Contessa was a constant companion and friend until she passed away on 2-12-09. 
I am forever grateful for the time that I was able to spend with Contessa and thankful for the HSMC for giving her to me.
